W. R. Berkley Corporation (NYSE:WRB) today announced the
appointment of Scott R. Barraclough as chief executive officer of
Berkley Public Entity (BPE), a Berkley Company. Curtis E. Fletcher
succeeds Mr. Barraclough as president of Admiral Insurance, a Berkley
Company. The appointments are effective immediately.
Mr. Barraclough most recently served as president of Admiral Insurance.
He joined the company in 1996 and has held various financial and
operational positions throughout his 20-plus year career with Admiral
Insurance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from
Drexel University College of Business and Administration.
Mr. Fletcher joined Admiral Insurance in 1998 and most recently served
as executive vice president and chief underwriting officer. He has over
30 years of experience in the property casualty insurance industry and
significant expertise in both excess and surplus lines and reinsurance
underwriting and management. He earned a bachelor of business
administration in finance from the University of Washington and holds
both the Associate in Surplus Lines Insurance (ASLI) and Chartered
Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designations.
